Sage Peak Industries
Precision. Simplified.
With lifetime of shooting and western big game hunting, paired with 30+ years of manufacturing, it’s no surprise that I have a passion for precision shooting and the tools of the trade. And like many, I was always enamored by the “long shot”. Tales of snipers held my interest better than any text book ever would. When I started to study handloading, custom rifles, ballistics, precision shooting tactics, and gunsmithing, I was hooked.
After spending over a decade working as a machinist in various industries, I decided to pursue a career in the firearms industry and headed to Colorado to attend gunsmithing school in early 2006. Immediately after graduation, I moved to Montana where I landed a job building custom rifles for an established rifle builder, ultimately becoming the Head Gunsmith and Shop Supervisor.
Then, I was blessed with the opportunity to be first employee of what would become the premier custom action maker in the world. Starting as a CNC Machinist I had no idea what the next 14 years would entail. Roles such as Production Manager, Sales Manager, and Special Project Manager afforded me a world class education for which I am forever grateful. I got to know the best (and worst) people in the custom firearms industry. I learned a great deal about what makes a rifle accurate, as the founder had been building some of the most accurate bolt actions in the world for for over 30 years. Lastly, attending precision rifle matches, I was able to compete alongside the best Long Range / Precision Shooters in the world. The precision rifle crowd was friendly, welcoming, and often generous with knowledge. My education deepened.
Now, my passion is about passing it on. Teaching what I have learned and taking the complexity out of making the “Long Shot”.
